Ionosphere & Radio Communications

 A quick note regarding radio comms.

If there is no ionosphere, radio signals have nothing to bounce off of and will disappear into space. 

Therefore, radio communications either need an ionoshpere to bounce off, or targeted/line of sight transmitter and receiver or transceivers - a device capable of transmitting and receiving.
