A Spooky Sci-Fi Scenario

Something Weird Is Going Down In Mammary Town

On the planet Colon, on the continent of Dysenteria, in a small frontier colony, a group of colonists begin their celebrations of Halloween according to the old Earth calendar reckoning. The colony is mostly subsistence farming, smuggling, and alcohol production. They live well, so far independent of interference from the various competing factions that infest the continent of Dysenteria.

The colony is overlooked by a group of hills called the Mammaries. In these hills, there is some sort of ancient monolith, many believe it is of ancient alien origin.

However, Halloween became Halloween because it is a time when the great spinning chaos of multiple-universes almost collides, and when they touch, in some places throughout this universe, in these thin places, it is possible that things can pass between two universes.

And upon this night, in this place, a strange light begins to emanate from this strange monolith, then shapes and shadows begin to form, and become solid. They head towards the little colony, named Mammary Town.

All of a sudden, in the town a woman’s scream rings out, haunting, ancient sounding, and instantly alerts all in the town to imminent danger. Shapes are seen rushing down from the hills.

The warp mutants are here.

This is a scenario that pitches hardy well-armed colonists against fearsome warp mutants in a small frontier colony town.

Recommended rules:

Clash On The Fringe by Nordic Weasel Games.

Colonists are armed with shotguns, pistols, carbines, and marksman rifles.

They also all carry various bladed and blunt weapons. Counts as all having knives.

Allow one or two heavy weapons teams – frontier defence is taken seriously – maybe give them a technical with a heavy weapon mounted.

Arm them with a few grenades also.

Those armed with sniper rifles (scoped hunting rifles) can be given sniper sight equipment.

Count the warp mutants as Genetically Unstable Entities. All count as Psions with raw talent.

Recommended miniature count 10 figures for the defenders and 20 for the attackers.

For figures I would recommend GZG's (Ground Zero Games) armed colonist packs.

For the mutants, you can sculpt green stuff tentacles onto existing figures. I bought mutant packs from Boon Town Metals but i am not sure if they are still in business which is a real shame.
